Mclaren SLR Photoshoot

Shot these pictures today in the warehouse a work with a lighting setup. I finally got to put my Canon 7D to use and I love this camera. The pictures came out exactly how I imagined them before shooting, I was going for a dark and urban look. What do you think?

Im pleased with the results especially with bolt ons.

AEM Gauges and Agency Power Pod

Installed the gauges in a visible area but also very discreet. I purchased the Carbon Fiber gauge pod from Agency Power and got the Gauges from AEM direct. 2 things you have to know if you purchase the gauges I purchased are, Make sure you know a welder if you are going to get the A/F gauge because there is a 02 sensor that has to be attached to the Downpipe. Secondly, you better know how to use the Tru boost because its not only a boost gauge but its a manual boost controller that has alot of functionality. I would highly recommend going to the Aempower.com forums and see how to use the Tru Boost before fiddling around with it.

Agency Power Exhaust Installed and Downpipe

As the title says I got the Exhaust and Downpipe installed over the weekend and I have to say I am really impressed with the performance and sound. I haven't gotten the car tuned yet but I feel that at the top end the car pulls alot more and there is less back pressure built up. I don't know if its the downpipe but I can hear a nice little spool flowing through the exhaust system now. Here are some pictures after everything is installed and I'm going to get some sound and video clips tonight once the roads are clear and not many caps are around LOL.

Agency Power Exhaust and Downpipe

Big Thanks to all the people over at Agency Power for taking care of me and getting me my exhaust here in a quick amount of time. I ordered the exhaust from them on monday and it got here in safely this morning. Anyway so I decided to go with a dual exhaust and I wanted a exhaust to have good sound but also nice gains. I have listened to alot of clips of exhaust and I decided this was the best setup to go with. I know with the sound of the catback exhaust and the feel of the Downpipe the car can finally breathe and in high RPM's the car will rip. Getting the exhaust and a few other things installed over the weekend I will post up some sound clips and pictures of everything.

AEM goodness

Just got my AEM gauges in the mail and I can't wait to install them. Im taking the car to Creative Audio and Im going to have him make me a custom gauge pod similar to this Thanks again to the guys over there at AEM for helping me with the project and for providing top quality gauges. Here is the info on all of the gauges.

TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller FAQs...

AEM’s TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller is an electronic boost controller that combines the simplicity of a manual boost controller with the added ease of adjusting boost levels through a gauge interface. There is no external interface required for set up, and it is fully functional right out of the box. There are no gimmicks or special software programs included. If you want more boost press the button on the right of the gauge face, and if you want less boost press the button on the left of the gauge face. It’s that simple, and IT WORKS!

AEM’s TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller includes everything you need, including an on-board 29 psig pressure sensor, built-in Overboost protection with two timed shutdown levels, a scramble boost setting and a low-side output for a warning light. AEM offers a 75 psia boost sensor for high boost applications (sold separately).

AEM’s boost control solenoid (included) is the only one specifically manufactured for automotive boost applications, which means it won’t corrode and stick from exposure to rich fuel mixtures, it is pressure tested to 100 psi and includes -4 AN fittings to eliminate any chance of leaks.

Legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.

No external interface required for programming!
Complete system includes harness, boost hose, on-board 29 psig pressure sensor (external 75 psia optional), boost solenoid, gauge display and all necessary fittings
Quick connect technology eases the installation process
Two user selectable boost settings with peak boost memory
Scramble boost setting allows user to momentarily change boost levels
User selectable Overboost alarm includes two timed shutdown levels at 10% and 20% Overboost
User configurable gauge includes 24 scalable LEDs, and interchangeable bezel, pin guide and faceplate to customize look of display
One (1) low-side output included for warning lights

Buschur IC pipes "Stealth"

If you remember when I originally got the intercooler pipes they were polished, and being in the state of California they will get you for anything. I decided to send the parts to get powdercoated Textured Black to get a more stealth look so cops don't catch me riding dirty.

Eclipse AVN726e

Finally after purchasing my new headunit it was finally installed. I took the car to a buddy of mine Ryan at Creative Audio. I purchased the dash trim from crutchfield for $31 and I was dumbfounded by the fitment of this aftermarket piece. I anticipated the dash kit to be a little off, but it was alot worst when it was installed. Here is a Video and some images after the install.

Smart car on Crack

I love that people fix up Smart cars because it looks like a golf car gone wrong. This smart car owner went all out and decided to widebody and not only that, but he also but some 3 lug BBS LM's on the car. To top everything off the car is equipped with a GSXR motor that puts that car in place. Check it out.

The Tint Pros

So I decided for the first time of owning a car to tint my windows. I'm not the type of person that usually does tint, but after buying my FJ used and setup with tint I felt like it was a must. I took my car over to The Tint Pros in Huntington Beach and they did an amazing job. I decided to do 35% front and rear because I didnt want to have the cops hassle me. The tint they used is called Formula One and it comes with a lifetime warranty. If anyone is thinking about doing tint and you are in Orange County I would totally recommend them. Here are before and after pictures.

Umm.... Pure Art

I can't come to words and explain how beautiful the camera and post production work is on this shoot. If you don't know what Top Gear is, it's a British television show that reviews cars and everything that comes along with them. You can catch Top Gear on BBC every sunday night. I have been watching for about 7 seasons now maybe more and this video caught my eye and I just had to post it up. Enjoy!

BC Racing Coilvers

Thanks to Mike at Double Down Motorsports and the guys over at BC racing, a week after owning my car my coilovers came in. I made a call over to Mike saying,"I got the car looks get this car started". I explained to mike I wanted a daily driver setup and also I wanted to take it to the track from time to time. Mike pointed me in the direction of the BC racing BR Type coilovers because they are just as good if not better than Tein who was my original brand I was gonna purchase. Once I opened the box I can tell I purchased a nice mono tube coilover track ready. Im gonna be installing these bad boys in the upcoming weeks once my wheels and tires are ready, so I will give my review. Here is a link to BC racings website. http://bcracing-na.com/bcproduct.html
